Diving in the Bunaken National Park
The 75.000 hectare Bunaken National Marine Park encompasses five islands. Besides the main island Bunaken there is Manado Tua, Siladen, Mantehage and Nain. Most of these islands are surrounded by healthy colourful reefs and a high variety of fishlife, nudibranches, crabs, sponges, turtles and the occasional reefshark. This makes it a true paradise for divers and snorkelers alike. Bunaken itself is well known for it's spectacular steep walls of dense coral, which start at around 2/3 meters in the shallows to well over 30 meters at the deep end.
